The production and plans model of the Skimmer 2 look alike.  The differences are in the construction material and lift fan drive system. 
The body of the plans model is a wood/foam/glass epoxy composite and the  wings are Mylar soft wings. Tooted belts drive over pulleys the lift prop.
The production model has a molded foam/E-glass epoxy composite body. The  wings are  rigid honeycomb constructions. The lift prop is driven by a hydraulic drive system.
