Skimmer 2 & 4
are new dynamic hovercrafts from
K-designs These multi-purpose vehicles
can be used on rivers, lakes, the sea, on ice and snow.
Basically the start as a hovercrafts and above about
70 km/h the wings take the whole load and they become
wing in ground effect crafts. The operation height will
be between .8 m and 1.5 m. Cruising speed is about
130 km/h and the maximum speed 160 km/h. The model below
is a proof of concept vehicle for the Skimmer 2 and
4. Skimmer 2 plans will only differ in details from
this model. Changes are in the propulsion system.

has two seats side by side.
The Skimmer
4
will follow shortly. The next model will be the 2 engine
8 seat Skimmer 8.
